My Educational Philosophy:
The Social Sciences are a very integral part to a complete education. The American educational system was created in hopes of fostering responsible and competent American citizens. I have 6 expectations for student behavior. My classroom is structured to cultivate these qualities which will lead to our students developing into the American citizens that the founding fathers had aspired for us to be.
1) Honesty
2) Respect
3) Excellence
4) Fairness
5) Civic Responsibility
6) Tolerance

1) Honesty
- Academic Honesty is essential for maintaining the integrity of our public education system. It is also very important for students to take pride in the work they produce.
- Integrity and honesty are to be used in the classroom everyday and in every activity the student does.
2) Respect
- The students are expected to exercise respect for all individuals.
3) Excellence
- My expectation for classroom performance is no short of excellence. Students may achieve excellence by academically performing to the best of their abilities
4) Fairness
- Fairness is defined as every student receiving what that student needs to be successful. All students, based upon professional judgment, will be treated with the utmost fairness.
5) Civic Responsibility
- It is not only important that students take pride in and care for themselves, but students must also care for others. Every privilege and benefit a student experiences as a citizen should be paid back in helping to improve the environment for others around them.
6) Tolerance
- Our country was founded upon freedom. Our country was settled by a diverse group of people deciding to live in a land already occupied by a group of diverse people. In order for our country to survive, we must have a respect and appreciation for other people’s differences. Intolerance will not be tolerated.
